Mark is a founder and Managing Partner of Neural Insights, where he has responsibility for Governance, Risk and Compliance solutions.

Mark is a leading specialist in IT risk, audit and regulatory practise. He has particular interests in governance, compliance and identity management and the way it applies to technology.

Mark is also lead partner for the NI University partner programme, which seeks to help clients benefit from the best of university research in business and technology.

Prior to joining Neural Insights, Mark was a senior technologist at Credit Suisse, with global responsibility for regulatory and audit compliance, Identity Management, the Sarbanes-Oxley programme and risk assessments.

He was previously IT COO for Lehman Brothers Technology in Europe and Asia, and a Consultant at Deloitte.

Over more than 25 years in Financial Services, Mark has been responsible for major initiatives across strategy, cost reduction, risk management, out-sourcing and human capital development.

He also helped to set up the Enterprise Systems research and teaching group at the University of York, where he is Visiting Professor in Computer Science.

Outside of Neural Insights’, Mark’s passions include his family, historic endurance rallying, skiing, and jazz trumpet. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
